Andy, from memory when I was with Orange and had a livebox, there are 2 buttons on the back above the USB socket marked 1 and 2.

Pressing one of these buttons (number 2 I think) puts the livebox in "pairing" mode so that you can connect a "new" machine to it. It won't let you connect otherwise!

I got fooled by this a couple of times before I worked it out. Once you have pressed the button it stays in "pairing" mode for about 10 minutes to give you chance to connect.  :y

I know which buttons you mean, but I have actually paired the 2, it just drops out every now & then .....  :-?
