Too emabrrassed to say.  But it is rebranded by the same people who made my existing Nova DT500 ;)

HVR 2200  :-X

On the upside, I got £15 off of it being an open box (ie, demo or customer return) and free postage. And £2.50 ish cashback from cashbackkings :D. Downside, won't arrive for over a week.

I'm well out of date on TV cards...

my old one, an Avermedia (spit) 761 is sat on my desk never to go in again.

do fancy replacing it though

where as dual and recording is nice, all it really needs to do is watch live telly for my use.

ive not really looked, but guessing the MCE ones are MCE ONLY and vice versa, and not a case of you can use our app or MCE?

Have used GDI in the past on MCE with good results - but not with the Dell Dimension running the AMD Athlon.

MCE tuners should be usable by other apps - that said, some apps are tied to a specific make of cards.
