The first 2 European countries to emerge from recession were France & Germany
Anyone else noticed the number of new Citroens, Renaults, VW/Audis, BMWs & Mercedes on the road recently?

There are quite a few perfectly good cars getting scrapped via this scheme, certainly at the place where I currently draw a wage.

Last week there was an immaculate (and I do mean immaculate) Range Rover 3.9 Vogue classic, 'L' reg, all the kit and all working, full main dealer serviced with receipts to prove, sequential LPG conversion (not the normal single point thats normally fitted!) and both upper and lower tailgates unmarked and sound.

Shame to see it go to a breakers.....  :'(

I rather like the dutch government calling it daft twice in the same sentence, what i do hate about these programs is their reference to 'green' electric only cars.

Electric cars are not green, what do these environmentalists do not think about is the coal fired power stations generating the electric  >:(

EIther white, 3 wheel and full of milk crates or dirty brown and very slow - all the ones I hve seen

This program has some 'sports' electric car which was about as refined as my ass, and noisy as hell.

Electric cars have no future, hydrogen fuel cell cars are the only possible future. Problem still remains though, obtaining hydrogen still requires fossil fuels.
I believe your ass has had quite a lot of work over the last few years ;D
