I just love all the "in my day" talk about going to school in the snow! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  All it needs is comments about "no shoes.......no socks or stockings........without even a breakest......not even a bowel of gruel"!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well I remember twice getting on a 1950s coach in Haslemere in Surrey during 1964 / 65.......... and walking back two miles, filled with glee, when it failed to get through the snow to go to our Midhurst school! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Then, like now, it is good for life events to result in a day or two off from school for children. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

I remember wearing wellies with shorts going to school and the red marks on yor legs where the wellies has slapped against them....60's and we walked to junior school... :y

My family give me the evil look now when I say 'when I was a lad' or 'when I was your age' but it is true, we got on with it..... :D :D :D
