I reached 50 in 2003 - the age we all dread had come, i was going through my second divorce, things couldn't have seemed worse - midlife crisis prompted me to buy a guitar and 7 years on i am at a level of peace and tranquility i never knew was ever possible - free, single, working full time, do what i like, buy what i like, ex-smoker, tee-total, celibate...not perfect but alright still...welcome to Nirvana  8-)

.

.

I have the Guitar, waiting for the rest..... :D :D :D :-X

Happy birthday matey - I never thought I'd reach fifty (candle both ends job over many years!!).  Then I reached 60 ( a few years back)  As said before - its only a number and you're as young as the woman you're feeling - have a good one!! :y

You're not alone matey, i'm nearly 47, i think...hate the idea of clubbing, think 2 weeks in a chavvy resort is too hot & a waste of money. I refuse to throw anything away as it might come in handy one day but can never find it when i want it. Just had hernia done, overweight, think i've got ingrowing toenails on the way, looking down on folk & general life with ever growing disdain.
There comes a time when a broad mind & a narrow waist swap places!!! ::)

I'm not feeling so optimistic today.....I turn fifty tomorrow... :-/ :-/ :-/....
Is this the start of the inevitable ..... decline into senility.....decrepitude.....incontinence....and erectile dysfunction?. :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
I have a lovely wife  ......children.....family and friends.......so I have much to be thankful for.....but I never wish to get to an age where .....visiting a local garden centre ......becomes preferable......to a good leg over. ;D ;)
.....I will simply have to console myself ...by buying a Suzuki Hayabusa ......and taking a twenty year old mistress.... ::) ::) ::) :y :y ;)

do what anyother self respecting guy having a mid life does
