quick OOF question
« on: 26 August 2010, 08:31:46 »

hi people.

i'm quite new to the forum, and as you can see i have a low postcount, however i've used the forum to obtain a massive ammount of information, very useful indeed. :y

I am sadly looking to sell my omega and wanted to list it for sale on here until i noticed the 250 postcount requirement in the 'cars for sale section'

however i've noticed that a member, charlie 3.2, who has a postcount of 52, has an advert in the for sale section.

Am i missing a trick with regards to this postcount limitation?

Thanks

No, because of certain users posting absolute rubbish to hit the very easy 50 posts, the limit has been raised to 250.

We are not a 'free advertising site' it is meant to be a service for active members here.

Hence for a few weeks or so, we have the abnormality of low count users having already advertised, where as now everyone else has to wait.

completely understand that, its a shame that i dont have the time to contribute to the forum in order to boost my postcount.

and as you said, i'm not about to keep posting rubbish and useless, un-informative in order to increase my postcount.

i imagine that if there was not a restriction in place the forum would be full of poorly constructed adverts and many of these sellers would not show any commitment to the sale on here.

Join in some of the discussions here and you'll soon get there!

Mind you... As said many times, this isn't really the best place for selling an Omega as most of us have one already! ;) ;)
