James. PM me your number mate. It is the passenger cat and probably the whole mid and back section. I do need other bits. You need a jack and a hand witha  gearbox?

If you're offering a hand with a gearbox, then you can have all the bits you want in return, including the cat ;)

I'm at work at the mo, and just have to do a quick job, but I'll send you a PM very soon :)

Ye Gods. I just saw how far away you are!!!!!! >:(

Right. If you have a Cat and a cats-back exhaust (working one) for a v6 saloon and are free next Sunday, we can pop that gearbox off and change it el-pronto. You will need to drtop the front pipes off yours in preparation James. But the box change with me and Laidback lending a suitable hand, should be about 2 hours.

Unfortunately mate, I am working next sunday :(

My only day off is Friday - bloody shift work

However, having removed a gearbox from a breaker straight after work today, and completing it in absolute record time - I can see how simple it really is!! (Last time I did one on a 2.0 there were 3 helpers with me  ::) )

So I'm confident to give it a stab on my own ( nobody locally to help, and markie is working ) :(

You're still more than welcome to that cat etc though, if we can get it up to you. I've already removed it in prep.

Right. i am going back into hospital in 2 weeks to get my back done again. So, now the project is in more of a hurry.

So, this afternoon I took off the whole exhaust system except the drivers Cat, which is new. I aquired a complete and fairly new total system and exchanged my broken cat and it cost me the granmd total of £20. I will fit this when I get time towards the weekend, then road test number 2.

If all goes well I will then be able to press ahead with the last few jobs. LPG re-design. LPG testing and then certification. Drivers door check strap, Oil change again and then a dent to remove followed by a good clean and polisgh from front to back. Finally, a new MoT (existing one is only to August).

I like the way you just casually say "lpg re-design" as though it will be a simple and quick job...  ::)

Erm........ it is! Pipe with gas + air intake = LPG system. Sorry, forgot the safety aspect. :Lets start again. Pipe with gas + air intake + box of elastoplast = safe LPG system. :y
