If you are not in good terms with computers AVOID smartphones (any kind including symbian, win mobile or android).
Iphone is easy to use, and probably the best touch phone on the market. Yes there are phones with better cameras, more possibilities, but Iphone is one of the easiest to use, one of the fastest, and one with the best response screens out there.
I have a HTC (diamond), and it is bloody complicated for me and not intuitive at all. Take into account that I'm an IT developer and have a masters degree in electronical engineering, and for me it is complicated  :-[
If you really want touch screen mobile which is easy to use get a cheaper samsung or lg cookie.

I could not disagree more strongly, admittedly I do not have the latest version, but I find the screen very difficult to access, particularly if trying to select a telephone contact or number from the screen offering. :(

Amigo - Nokia 6310 is about 3 million years old, and obviously no longer available. No features, but a bloody good phone. Internet = no, email = no, apps = no, music = no, bluetooth = limited, phone = brilliant

;D

I have a Nokia N97 Mini which has the Symbian S60 hardware and all I can say is 'AVOID AT ALL COSTS'

This phone has put me off Nokia for life, I dont even think they make it any more because it was so troublesome. Its great to look at and for the most part easy to use, but as a phone it is beyond useless. It never has a signal (when all around are showing five bars). It has crashed 5 times since yesterday and has so many things wrong with it I just want to throw it away and get an Iphone.

But im not even one year in to a 2 year contract so thats out the window then!!!!

Amigo, I promise you, you'll be hooked....well, a lot more interested than you are now anyway.

But if your not, and want to palm off your new iPhone I'll happily buy it off you if you like. Must be iPhone 3GS or better though. ;)
