iPhone, iPhone, iPhone.
Daughter gave me her old one when she upgraded to the latest version, I think its rubbish, it doesn't respond properly to screen taps, and this makes it very difficult to use. Only good point is it is easier for texting, otherwise a loser.
Either its faulty, or you are using something hard to press (fingernail?).
gayPhone has one of the most responsive touchscreens out there.
But everyone will think their phone is 'best' and assume that then makes it 'best' for everyone else.
In Amigos case, I think (cost aside) the gayphone is a good contender, due to its incredible ease of use and stability - Amigo doesn't strike me as a Nerd (which rules out Android and Win6) or somebody who will tolerate crap for long (rules out Symbian smartphones). Not in a corporate, so Gooseberry is as much use as a used johnny, leaving Win7 and crApple (and Maemo - but I'll leave chrisgixer to comment on that, seeing as he has one).
But then, for Amigo, I would have recommended a Nokia 6310 - probably the best mobile ever made
Evening Jaime. Says 6301 on the box but i think we're on about the same handset. It's a cracking little phone, does all i need it to do & it does'nt frustrate me, i've luzzed many of my older phones across the room in frustration. It's low mileage so should go another 18 months, i love the little stand up charging dock it comes with so reckon i'll get the best set i can & sell it!!!
No, the 6310 predates the 6301. 6310 was the pinnacle of phones, before the gayness set in.
Ask your provider what they can do if you don't take out another handset. Some give you a cash credit, some put you on a cheaper contract giving same minutes/texts etc.
Maemo (nokia n900) is utter utter UTTER shite, with shite sprincles on top. Personally I think symbian is very usable, and still even now can out multi task a gay phone with ease.
However symbian is not for a first timer, it not as obvious as the gay. Gay phone, as with the iPad, needs no instructions, no tips and tricks guide, just pick it up and all comes naturally, it just works, as said before, simples......which for me makes it a bit boring, I like stuff that still has secrets in it's operation that keep you interested, little tricks and short cuts in a an os that has depth.
But this thread is not for me, it's for Guy. So has to be iPhone, but which one? Iphone4 is bloody expensive, so 3GS version is probably a good starting point tbh.
