I went to Admiral this time on Multicar, we each pay 3-400 a year.

Confused.com and the likes are always the starting point for me  :y

It rarely pays to be loyal ;) ;)

As Jimbob says... But go through cashback kings first ;) And also do gocompare too :y

Also, bear in mind that many insurance companies give rewards on cashback sites... Swiftcover, who are best for SWMBO and I, were offering £28 per new policy :y :y

what I didnt understand....was they price matched themselves...

Old car insured with Bell
got quotes for new car, bell were about £40 more than I was paying.

Admiral rang me after the confused quote, beat the bell price considerabley, and cancelled it free of charge (they are the same company)

I now pay less than I did, for a faster, newer car, with the same company  ;D ;D ;D

Used to have one when I was a trader ;) ;)

Trouble is, if you are no longer in the trade it can be tough to explain ;)

Morethan have been good for me in the last 3 years.
Not much in the way of increase on the premiums.
I have had two cars insured with them, down to one now, also my home insurance which is at a good price :y

But like said as soon as they start taking the p then it's time to look elsewhere ;D

Direct line doubled my policy too, similar amount of time with them, not that I wanted to stay, they are a useless pita company to deal with, and I have 2 complaints outstanding, both are promised to be dealt with with a letter explanining please bare with us investigation under way, except I haven't had a peep now for two months, they "think" I have forgotten, oooooh no I haven't.

Anyway, got multi car with elephant now, paying half as much as we both where before   :y

Which although is good news, only confirms what I already knew, I should have left DL years ago, useless lying bunch of charlatans that they are.

In a 50/50 reversing car park bump, after much chasing and blatant lies and BS from them, they admitted hey had lost the file, and paid out, they are worse than muppets.

You should try the AA insurance... I pay £280 per year or my MV6 and my NCD is protected and legal aid too... they reduced it by £15 too just for allowing them to quote me home insurance wether i took it up or not...

Zurich via an independent broker here, my policy went up 60 quid last year, tried the comparison sites best like for like was only 30 quid cheaper so I stuck with the broker I know.

Two weeks later I get my direct debit documents, it has dropped 40 quid, he found a discount scheme he could apply for me. That's how to build loyalty  :y
