Well I have now replaced the heater valve in the bulkhead and we have heat...however it then overloaded the already failing alternator and I broke down on the way back from work last Friday, ironically with no heat as the battery ran flat as a result lol...replaced the alternator (the large crack in the casing cant have been helping it) and now all is well...need to also replace the passenger footwell part also mentioned above so that I have heating on all 4 settings and not just on full blast...surprisingly the parts guy at the Ford garage actually knew his stuff which helped greatly :y

Cheers Spud and for everyone whose helped...the heater valve has been changed...was going to soak the valve in fluid overnight to free it up but it had been on there so long the plastic has cracked and 2 of the lugs snapped off on removal...heat works fine now thank goodness...

My wife has just got a little newer shape N reg Fiesta to practice in...its a 1.8 diesel.

Been using it to get to work recently as the Mig has run out of MOT and been stuck in the driveway covered by snow since lol

So the main issue with the Fiesta is the heating...it doesnt work (namely the fan chucks out cold air, not warm or hot) and the fan only comes on when set to full, does nothing on 1,2 and 3...

Checked most of the fuses but they all seem ok...

Any ideas please?? :)
sister has one and it turn'd out to be some leaf's in it block off the heat, have to take out the glove box and remove the black pipe, then put hand in and pull them out, she used are nice.
