MOT Day tomorrow
« on: 12 July 2007, 09:49:19 »

Well, tonight I will drop the car off with my mechanic for its mot
Question is, the water leak is back, although not half as bad as it was. Is that a failure?
He stripped it back a lot last time, I know he is short of time, so don't know if he will fancy opening her up again :(
My spanner twirling is abysmal, as anyone who watched me drop the cdx off axle stands at the lakes can confirm  :-[
So there may be a plea for help soon  :'(
I Think everything else is ok, just need to change my blown HID bulb, Elite Pete has lent me one to get through this, while I order some new ones.

Fingers crossed!

It has  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

And cam covers, spark plugs, front brake kit, etc etc etc
I know the thermostat was done last year before I got the car, that should be ok
don't know what there is left, either the leak has been partially fixed, or there are multiple leaks.

I SO want this car to be right again, I may need to find an Omega expert mechanic to have a look, fancy earning a few quid?  :-/

Well Im car less today while its gone  :(

Got the HID bulb changed, if you remember it was burning a red colour, not white, few days later it went completly
Easy enough to change once the airbox was out, Ive always commented by lights are not as bright as they should be, and Pete's bulb proved it, much brighter than the other side, and thats still an old bulb!  so off to ebay for a new pair....

Picked the car up on the way back from Harry Potter
and
It Passed!  Flew through with not one advisory :)
Still no sign of the water leak though, a good look was had from underneath while it was on the ramps :(

A relief to have another years ticket anyway :)

So, if you fancy the krypton factor challenge, drop me a pm, and we can sort out the logistics  :y
