why are.......
« on: 28 July 2007, 15:37:05 »

Most modern diesels 1.9?

I know it sound like one of those curveball type questions but it got me thinking because i am in a Skoda Octavia hire car currently and it's a 1.9 TDi 110bhp engine (goes really well)

Now i know that all the Skoda/seat/VW engines are the same, but even vaux. ford, renault/citroen all seem to be this size.

Is it chance or is it some silly like the bore/stroke is idea for the compression it is running at?

any ideas

I drive a Skoda Superb 1.9 130 bhp company car and it goes like snot, I picked this car through choice as it was far superior to the mondeos, lagunas citrons etc that i test drove.

I must also say I have had it 3 years and done 80,000 miles with not a single problem. :y :y

Great car.

But I love my Miggy more.  ;D ;D
