If it was going to stretch it would have done so by then  

Mine started to tick and I wondered if I'd got the timing out so I stripped it down to check and the aux belt came off no problem. The timing was as close as I could tell without a microscope so I put it back together again and the belt went back on like a dream. The marker in the tensioner was between it's two outer markers so I've left it and asusmed it's now normal. The ticking seems to be from the EGR valve area and I still haven't gotten to the bottom of it but it seems to be lodest form the copper pipe that goes from the manifold to the EGR valve bracket. I need to take it off and see if it has a split, sometime next week hopefully.
