Breather pipes
« on: 30 June 2014, 12:53:53 »

Just about to clean the breather pipes on the omega. Also need to take a look at the spark plugs and it all looks pretty involved.

Has anyone on here done this who is a complete mechanical numpty. I look at it every weekend and then think it could all go very wrong, very quickly.

As its my only car I can't afford to have it not working within the day.

Thanks

Hi Tunnie

I did read the guides, just gauging whether some other inept mechanics have had a go already  :D

They are brilliant guides I want to know more about the car so I think I'll set a few days aside and just dive in.

Thanks for the reply

Depends on the urgency....but if you can wait a bit and then come along to a meet, you'll get the help and guidance in getting the job done, and you'll also get to put names and faces together of other forum members and pick a few useful tips along the way as well :y

Yes, I.m a numpty and I've done it lol

First time I did it I removed the plenum and forgot to hook brake servos pipe up .  .  . Huge flame shot out the plenum upon start up  ;D

Funny as now. .  Not at the time tho.

So just follow the guide and you'll be fine  :y

Thanks for the replies, I'm going in!

I'm  mechanically inept but even I managed to change the plugs without too many problems.

Number 6 can be a bastard at times. :-\
