I have exactly the same issue, am looking into restoring the brake system once the service is dome and out of the way.

The first thing i'm going to do before checking the ecu itself is make sure all the wheel speed sensors are clean and their hall sensor pick ups are clean, if still no joy, off to the boy for a diagnostic (will do irrespective), and then if it is the ecu, BBAREMAN it is!

If its ECU and a second hand one is replaced of the same GM No and model does this need to be reset by a diagnostic machine as I do not use Vauxhall but wuld use a tune up garage
