Can anyone tell me the socket size i will need to remove the cannister type oil filter on my 2.6?Thanks :y

Good question, as I found 22mm was just loose on the 'nut' and 21mm was too small.  In theory mine seems to be 21.5mm!! ::) ::)

I resorted to an adjustable spanner, then I discover the central square hole is a perfect fit for a 3/8" socket drive, so I used that! :D ;)

Carefull if you use the 3/8" drive. It's been known to break the aly casting if someone has overtightened it in the past.

In the past to make sockets fit tight I have managed by either wrapping electric tape round head or stuck some inside the socket then tapped it on  .. :y
