power steering fluid

have just changed pump, can i stick dex iii into the steering system

iirc dex3 is too thin and cause leaks...

The original was dex 3, then they changed dex3 and it didnt work right anymore, so they downgraded to dex2.

So think its dex2 you want.

While I'm at it is it worth doing a how to on changing steering pump.  Not sure one has been done.

Update just been to vx.  They say that dex 2 has now been upgraded to dex 6.  Anybody else heard of this.  I'm at a loss

yes - dex 2 part no. comes up with dex 6 and when they put dex 2 into system that comes up with dex 6.  would it be wise to source dex 2 from motor factor or go with dex 6

I think they recommend it for everything  :-/

mangaged to get dex ii from neighbours work.  still got dex 6 here.  perhaps a little investigation is needed with this stuff.  i'm all out of ideas :-/
