outside temp sensor

hi my outside tempture reading started playing up the other day showing - temptures when it clearly wasnt and then it would come up F     C  so i ordered a new sensor but now all i get is the F   C  when i select tempture setting on the mid any ideas ?

You need to start tracing wiring back from sensor, suspect you'll find some damage (though pay close attention to sensor's connection)

Yep, your sensor's probably fine!  I found one of the two blue wires from the sensor broken just before the multi-plug under the nearside passenger side.  The plug sits pretty low and in the splash zone so I guess it's vulnerable even though it's a waterproof jobby.  Try bridging the wires across the multi plug; it's most likely that the fault is around there.
