Engine heat shield
« on: 24 April 2009, 12:15:59 »

I have a loose heat sheild on the engine drivers side , it looks as if the front secruing bolt has pulled through the shield , so plan was to remove the bolt and fit a washer to cover the enlarged hole .
Problem  is the bolt will not shift . Question is do I just put up with the rattle as I do not think the bolt will shift or what problem would be caused by removing the sheild all together  :y

I believe having it in place improves air flow and hence cooling.

I'd try to keep it in place if possible.
