auto sump plug rounded off

agggg went to check the auto trans fluid today and the sump plug/ filler is rounded off . also where can i get a filter kit ie filter and gasket for less than the main stealer wants £76 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! should i drop the smaller of the two sumps as well as the main sump . or would it be cheaper to get someone else to do it ?

jpat for auto parts - they offer good discount if you do the deal by email (then phone with credit card). Mention Omegaowners in the initial email to them.

you may end up taking the sump off (which you need to do anyway to change atf), then getting big boys toys on it...

Have you tried some good molegrips or waterpump pliers on it?  I think I would try while its on the car first to save having to hold the sump somehow while you attack the plug.

It beats me how they get to that state (you are not alone..) - they are not supposed to be that tight.

did try mole grips but no joy ................... and its gettng worse the slipping that is

The plug is 13mm , I hammered a old 1/2" (12.5mm) AF socket  on
that worked for me.

..or file some flats on it?

I would certainly be trying to shift it before draining the fluid/removing the sumps, as you will then be off the road until you manage to budge it in order to refill.
