he said  it wont comunicate even with vauxhall tech. and the em light isnt on, but does work and thats how he knows , dont tell me ive been hudwinked again

if thats true....far more likely to be a dodgy connector on the diag port.

try a different reader, some are more prone to experiencing dodgy connectors than others.

thats the 3rd diagnostic its had . it just wont interact with them. and they all want paying even when they tell me nothing new.
