Giving the driver the benefit of the doubt - he may have been diabetic......  though the percentage for that being the case is probably less than 50/50.  :-/

Better to be stopped and helped - he could have died!

I have seen what can happen with Diabetics (father in law)

Totally agree. My daughter is a Type 1 Diabetic so I too know what can happen with little or no warning of a Hypo
Please do not be too quick to judge!

Nobody is judging. I also have diabetes in my family, I'm fully aware of what it comes with.

It wouldn't have been safe or legal for me to attempt to stop the vehicle - hence the reason for calling the police, and remaining behind it in case there was the need to call an ambulance....

Yet again giving the driver the benefit of the doubt....he could have just as easily been masturbating. :o

Id say the situation James describes points towards someone with plenty of drink in them or still effected by said drink. :o

Well whatever the reason I think we all agree that the driver was in no condition to drive a car and should have been stopped as a matter of urgency for his own protection as well as others....

You have a facelift Omega.

You should have stayed back about 100m and flashed - that would have caused him to complete panic, most probably stop.

And report the incident to Police complaints authority

They'll only say that they were on another important shout, no doubt! :-/  With respect to the police that is! :)

Also, just a point...  he may have not been drunk!  Could have been a diabetic in a stupa.... :-/

Was probably Santa though.... all that bl00dy sherry :-X  Ho Ho Ho ::) ::) ::)
