But can it not be replaced without doing all that, it is in the lid after all, can't see why you have to pull the whole lot out......... :-/ :-/ or have I missed something ::)

Vamps...I thought exactly the same...and is the sole reason I ended up buying 2 handles  :-[   and then writing the guide  ;D ;D ;D

Its not that bad a job to do Vamps, slightly fiddly but not the worst of jobs.
If you dont fancy replacing the handle you could replace the whole glove box. Daft Lo Knee might be worth a try, I had one from him a while back. :y

I've been putting off doing mine for the same reason but I'm sure once I find the motivation, it won't be as bad as it looks.

The Carlton one were a doddle to change by comparison!  And they didn't rattle all the blinkin time either!
