hi all just drove through some heavy showers now when i switch off wipers they stay in the vetical position blocking my vision. any ideas please

Linkage has either come adfrift under scuttle panel or both wiper arms are loose on the spindles.
Remove wiper arms and see if the spindles are moving .

That will be the nut loose on the wiper motor, scuttle off,loosen nut further, lift the kinked arm off a little, reposition wipers with kinked arm between arrows on casting, tighten nut, re fit scuttle.

thanks will try that. wipers are working fine but stop in wrong position.
