Bonnet release adjustment
« on: 23 June 2010, 19:13:16 »

My new bonnet release is a little 'intermittant'

Ive tightened the cable - am now happy with the release point
Ive greased up the catch etc.

but the bonnet still doesnt always pop, and needs a push while the handle is pulled.

Sure there is another adjustment, but can't remember what  :-/

There is adjustment on the bonnet, the finger sort of thing which has a spring around it, undo the nut slightly and line it up better in the slam plate :y

Also wind the rubbers in on the edge of the bonnet then bit at a time wind them out until bonnet shuts properly :y

I would guess the bonnet anti rattle rubbers at the ends.  Wind them in and ensure it opens/closes fine then gradually increase the bonnet rubber stops height until the bonnet runs flush with the wings either side....

Jim you should be able to find it after all that work on the help files.
