MV6 Springs

Hey everyone
I probably already know the answer to this but would standard springs from an MV6 fit on my 2.0 GLS or what would i need to change to make them fit?

Yes, as long as both are Saloon or Estate.

Worth considering changing shocks at same time.

thats good news as i have one spring snapped and only able to source mv6 springs, would it matter if shocks waited for a while?

wouldn't the mv6 springs make the 2.0 sit higher due to engine weight difference between the two

Trade club lists all saloon mv6 (v engine) rear springs as "sport" same partt no. as 2.0 sport
Fronts are different part no. Mv6 lowered sport chassis on the v6...Sport for the 2.0' differant part no. to rear

So what they are saying is, saloon rears are the same, for lowered models, fronts are engine specific due to engine weight.

The estate mv6 however gets lowered sports chassis front and rear. The estate 2.0 sport gets sport front and rear....so estates have different part no. at the rear unlike the saloon....which seems odd to me.


Bet that clear as mud... ;D

At the front yes it would be noticeable as you need the right springs at the front to match the engine weight.  :y
