Beastie has gremlins!
« on: 22 November 2010, 19:02:40 »

Got to work this morning & even with the key pulled out the demist fan just kept going. I carry no tools as i would'nt know what to do with them, i can change a wheel, check the fluids, MM still takes care of the rest as if she were his own. Hence i could'nt disconnect the battery. I left the car unlocked with the bonnet on click phoned Steve the yardman & asked him to disconnect the battery when he got in 2 hrs.later which he did. The fan would turn down fron full to 6 or 7 but no further. Got back back this afternoon, reconnected the battery & she started first go (glad i did'nt buy a budget battery) but the fan had stopped spinning. When i gort home i switched the fan on & off several times...it's ok now?? :-? I'll have to re enter the head unit & autochanger codes but now th windows don't work on a one touch, take your finger off & they stop! I don't mind this but am curious? Guy. :y

Had to reset mine today too and tried something different... Just hold up button for a few seconds on each window and it worked :y

"possibly" .... the start of the ignition switch wearing .... :(

On rare occasions I can withdraw the key and the radio/air con etc etc keep running ... reinsert key .. on/off and it usually works the second go.

There was a thread a while back about dismantling the key mechanism and cleaning it all up ... but I can't find it right now .. :(
