Knock Signal Fault
« on: 09 December 2010, 03:17:10 »

This morning I scanned the MV6 and got a fault which says :

Knock Signal Circuit 1  - Present

After I clear the code the check engine light disappeared.

What exactly does this mean? Does it have something to do with the knock sensors?
Thanks in advance for the help.

yes, normally the knock sensor 1 wire gets damaged by bad routing, so the aux belt chews on it, ok to chop and solder, and insulate to fix.
