transmission fault code

hi while i was clearing some fault codes i found one for the transmission any idea what p1740 is? It has not came back just curious

Was that from engine ecu, or gearbox ecu?

Could be nothing 2.2 often throws up some daft codes when other systems are unhappy (CAM sensor per example).

What reader did you use for the codes :question

Did you actually read the GS8211 ECU, or is this some crappy reader that claims to do more, but actually just does Engine ECU?

I used "My Naff Code Reader" and think it read the gear box ecu heres a load of stuff if it makes more sence

I was half right, crappy code reader ;D.  But is from gearbox :y
