HID Bulbs
« on: 05 January 2011, 18:02:04 »

The new bulbs arrived today so I fitted them.....what a job. But done with care  :y

Any idea why they do not strike up as soon as I turn the switch. I have to wait a minute or two before they will strike.

The old ones struck immediately on the switch albeit one had gone purple  ::)

They are unbranded off the bay of e  ;D

After they have struck and I turn them off then on again they come on immediately. It seems to be they take their own time after the car has been switched off for 15 minutes  :-?

I give up with the things. I put the one remaining original bulb in each side and it fired up beautifully  >:(

I have bitten the bullet and bought some Phillips DS2's from HIDS4U, paid £57.94 for the pair  :y :y

Will be sneaking around with only the o/s light working. Wish me luck  ;D ;D
