The cam sensor is mounted on no 3 cam cap.

The covers have bulges which were alleged to be there due to the potential to fit VVT (never released).

So all four cam sprockets look the same (although in reality they are not as the timing marks are different between the 1-2's and 3-4's)

mmm. the old police spec saga rears its head again.
as said already in this post mods are
alternators 120amp,heaver front and rear springs, some manwell cars had diesel gearboxes as 1st gear is stronger due to the torque of the tractor at low revs.A lot of met cars had tow-bars fitted no electrics fitted just for use as protection. The brakes are standard 3.0L/3.2L. Just regular fluid changes.
L.S.D as standard on manwell and auto. the met used a lot of autos due to the traffic in that force area. TVP cars were one of the 1st to have limo glass in the rear on estates. all off the parts are available from G.M. just look on the EPC. and as for the biggest question were any modified the answer is yes mainley ARV's and covert uses eg diplomatic protection and security service(mi5/mi6). they had a remapped ecu which upon the veichle being sold was removed,a few have slipped thro.there are some ex diplomatic/arv units with reinforced bumpers, and kevlar door inserts.

it does have cam sensors - it just wouldn't run if not. They're in the top of the head tho., not in the (unused) bulges in the cam belt cover.

The 54degree V6 was initially to have variable cam timing, which is what the bulges were for. Dropped by GM before job 1

LSD probably only fitted to 25% of Police cars - at the most.
