Born in South London, moved to Norfolk in 1987 & then to Lincs in 1988 have been back to London several times over the years , but would never go back to live there, more space around here & a better pace of life.

lol tends to be wherever i lay my head thats my home!

born in London, lived there till 15, joined army as a boy,
2 years in yorkshire, then posted to oxfordshire 3 years at Raf Benson, loved the oxfordshire countryside and pubs!! then 2 years in brize norton hated it!!!
went to civvy street had a hard time settling down
moved to slough a year, hated it, moved to blewbury loved it! 3 years, nice pubs!
moved back to oxford lasted 6 months hated it!! sold up
moved to a tiny house in Upavon wiltshire loved the countryside and the pubs!
bought a huge house in devizes loved it, 4 years there, nice pubs
recession killed that bought a smaller house back in bicester, was ok but on an estate
7years there though,
sold it bought a large bungalow in  Ardley Oxfordshire loved it!! was there 5 years,
and the local pub was great!!

all this time i was out on the road driving HGV all over the country delivering new cars
all over the uk so spent not much time in the various houses except weekends

then when we found Ze,s heart was really bad, decided to up sticks and move to Spain,
where we have been for nearly 5 years now!!
first year was good sorting the house etc, 2nd year boring as i couldnt find much to occupy my time,
then got the work coming in and now love it! most bars ARE  great!! but especially me 700 raptor on playdays out in the wilds!! :y

Born in Dunaújváros beside Danube but some years ago moved off and nowadays I live farther on 500km next to the Ukrainien border. Cheap and good quality Ukrainian fuel and cheap rent hereby. After breakup and huge money loss not to sort but catch the opportunity and rebuild your life as soon as possible. I'm about that. Emotions? Hm...first love, first punch, first sex and the first "drunken lazy bastards" style do... sometimes I miss my birthplace when good thing comes to mind but there also were others not too good stuffs that get me rather sad. I left my pals but haven't found new ones yet so I would need some one at times. Fortunately I found this forum where I needn't feel lonely so much.  ;)        Good luck home, Pete!    :y      Laszlo

Born in North Shields. At the age of 7 we moved to Northumberland and I grew up there. I loved the pubs, fishing and the countryside. I married 21 years ago and moved to Newcastle, where my better half has always lived. My wife and two teenage boys are townies (city lovers), I still miss the wilds of Northumberland. I have worked away in London for 4.5 years and the fast paced life and endless noise is not for me! When I retire in 10 years I would love to find a nice cottage in the middle of nowhere, with a huge pile of books to read and a great local pub within walking distance ( I think SWMBO may have other ideas) :'(

Born in London, lived there for a few years, moved to Kent, lived in various villages around Ashford before moving into Ashford properly. Don't like the town that much, don't like the people that much, everyone knows everyone else, and someone has always got something to say behind someones back.
