Sorry to hear all this terbert

Sorry I was unavailable last night as well, tucked up in bed with pills and medication myself.

Heating, sounds like room stat, but if going away, I'd just turn off the heating at the electric for now.

I'll do that Jamie...I have put the programmer to 'Off' on both hot water and heating, and set the room thermastat to 0' 

I assume that the gas can be left as is

Also just found a plug at the side of the boiler with a wire to the boiler, switched that off...boiler readings gone blank and programmer also blank, so I assume that means the whole system is now shut down

And.....you ain't never gonna believe this......
Just loaded the car again to get away ....phone rings...my mother (92) this time....in her words....' I am passing clumps of blood, like I used to do when I was a young girl'
So rang doctors and waiting a reply
