I hope you understand the above, it's just the middle bit that you lift that has a sheared pin. I would take it off , have a look, and either replace the pin, or swap the complete handle assembly. (remember to keep your old lock)

Ok understood agemo , will let you know how i get on and thanks for the helpful hints  ;)

Just to update , i removed the handle and all the pins were intact , i lubed the spring mechanism and pushed it back ...seems to have worked a treat and all fitting snugly .

Yeah , after i soaked the spring mechanism then it just seemed to pop back into place ...nothing seems to be broken and all sitting square now  :) Strange  :-\
