2.5 V6 1988

Can they be refurbished?

vauxhall quote £600 plus fitting, twice the value of my old thing... :-\

Can be refurbed for around £130. Could source a compatible used one for around £40. Used one is a bit of a gamble as it could go wrong at some point.

Im sure someone will be able to provide details of places which do refurbing soon. As for sourcing a used one. You will need to provide deatials of your car - year,engine size etc. :y

Ok, just to be sure that I have the correct unit..., the symptoms...

ABS light , and intermittent speedo failure

There is a maintenance guide on here on how to take off and replace.

1998 car?

MFL onwards from late 97 were prone to this problem. Can also affect your variable power steering. I had your symptoms on one of my four failures
