As varche said t'other day:

Quote
For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition
and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting
nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Britons.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Britons.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Britons.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Britons.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages
and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Britons.

CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like.
Speaking English is apparently the problem
.

;D  I speak slower than I write Engish but even this wont prevent me from any sickness :-\

Although I have never drunk excessively (well only twice or thrice!! ::) ::) ::) ::) :D ) I have ate raw meat and vegetables all my life, so has my mum (who is 87 this year) and her mum who reached 80.

Raw bacon, sausages, sausage meat, liver, steak, hamburgers, beef mince, etc, but never chicken, have been consumed since I stood by the side of my mother, certainly since the age of 5, and helped myself to bacon pieces, then sausage meat, and we went from there.  All vegetables I can consume raw, although potatoes are better cooked.

Never had any real health problems from doing so, and of course my mum and grandmother did not either!

Yum yum!! 8) 8) 8) 8) :) :)

Lizzie raw vegetables ok, raw meat nooo!

Lizzie I wish you will never face any health problem.. but please remember you did tha fact that you didint live any health problems up to now caused by that doesnt proove/require you wont have later! :-\

I know the answer.. if you are lucky few years.. my ex-boss died from lung cancer at a very young age..

I recommend all of you guys reading a book: The China Study , which about how the foods and different nutrients effect to your health. The shortened conclusion is if you eat less than 5% of animal protein per day you have no chance to get cancer even if you lived in hard cancerous circumstances like smoke or different chemicals. With doseing of animal protein researchers could switch on and off the growing of tumour. So everybody be careful with eating meat!
