Immobaliser sensor removal

The ring around the ignition barrel - how the heck do you get it off - cannot see how

There's a definite knack to it :-\

Sadly it's been a while, so memory a bit vague, but think you need to remove the barrel first :-\

That was going to be my next way to try - ta  :y

I think there's a tab accessible from inside the barrel housing :-\ got a new barrel to fit to mine so can investigate further, but won't be before next week...
