Not bought a paper for many years. At one time I used to buy the Sport regularly, I liked knowing Elvis' whereabouts. ;D ;D

Did they ever manage to get that bus moved off the moon?

Used to have the Daily Telegraph delivered, but I cancelled as an economy measure a few years a go at the height of the current economic depression. Then I used to use the Daily Telegraph website, but now it has gone behind a paywall I have looked at others and none comes close to the Telegraph, so at some point I expect I will take out a subscription.

I bought a paper today for the first time in ages.... The Fail on Sunday!  ::)

So with civil war in Syria, Egypt on the brink of, the Labour party having a spat with the unions, a plane crash in the US, a train crash in Canada and a Wallaby crash in Australia!!

What did I get on pages 1 to 3?  ???  Charles Saatchi and Nigella Lawson's relationship breakup and impending divorce......  ::)

It'll probably be another couple of months or so before I buy another....  :-\  :)

Keep it simple and informative

Online: BBC and Telegraph or Independant. Will tell you most serious stuff that you need to know

Physical paper: Not easy, but probably Telegraph, a bit right of centre but pretty good with general news

Mail and Express ? Sorry just tatty rags. They used to be well respected, not now.

Physical Paper

Standard or Metro picked up free

Daily Telegraph on Saturday, I like the Motoring and Travel sections

Online

BBC
Telegraph
Independant

I used to use the Evening Standard a lot but then it got so overloaded with fancy scrolling adverts that it became almost completely unusable.

BUT BUT BUT . . . .  my absolute favourite online news source is . . .

http://www.newsbiscuit.com/

And now mine too! ;D
Thanks for that Rog! :y

Times, but it has gone downhill, and is almost as bad as the Mail in its prurient reporting style. :(

I agree!  Should never have put news on the front page, let alone gone tabloid.

Been reading it every day for the last 53 years, except when I lived outside the UK and couldn't actually find it every day.  Can't understand the Guardian, can't agree with the Telegraph, can't even read the Independent.

But life is too short to read the Sunday Times.

They're all a waste of trees, IMHO. If they printed them on slightly more absorbent paper, I might be able to find a use for them. ::)

I read the Mail religiously to find out what the Kardashians are up to every day, naturally.

If I read too much actual news I'd read more things like this and then I'd be putting up razor wire: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-23226119 (that's the road behind mine).. ;D
