Your usual newspaper
« on: 07 July 2013, 00:25:59 »

Just interested in which paper you tend to read. If at all. Or your opinions of them will do.

Me...

I find the Fail utterly depressing as I'm sure you all do.
Express talks about the weather constantly and little else
The Sun is something of a joke
The Mirror ditto, in fact all Mirror group papers
Observer hard work for a thicko like me ;D

Telegraph and the independent might get my money to see what they are like if I could be bothered. But I can't be arsed with a broadsheet they give me arm ache and are too much agro to fold up. ;D

Nothing here, even when I did it tended to be the local rags, Northern Echo or Evening Gazette. I occasionally buy one, and these are also the sites I would go on if looking for latest local news...... :y :y

The Metro ... 'cos there's loads of 'em left on our trains and stations! ;)

Tend to have a shifty whilst having a cuppa during break times.
Not a bad read, all things considered. Some very interesting articles usually. ;)

Not bought a paper for many years. At one time I used to buy the Sport regularly, I liked knowing Elvis' whereabouts. ;D ;D

Nothing here either, except for the local rag on a Friday. If it wasn't for the great unwashed, who can't wait to get the latest gossip on BB, I reckon quite a few of the tabloids would go belly up.
No bad thing. ::)

enjoyed the sun, when it was first published all those many years ago, before Murdoch and co got hold of it, read the exprees for a while before that again got silly, went then to the times until that stopped dealing with news and got boring, tried the telegraph but as chris said to big to hold and too many big words. various others over many years, but nothing now, all online these days !!

Times, but it has gone downhill, and is almost as bad as the Mail in its prurient reporting style. :(

Physical Paper

Standard or Metro picked up free

Daily Telegraph on Saturday, I like the Motoring and Travel sections

Online

BBC
Telegraph
Independant

I used to use the Evening Standard a lot but then it got so overloaded with fancy scrolling adverts that it became almost completely unusable.

BUT BUT BUT . . . .  my absolute favourite online news source is . . .

http://www.newsbiscuit.com/
