So true.

I was looking into an air con unit, but cant be doing with the vent pipe through the window, so opted to purchase another gun metal desktop fan, was horrified to see they were now on sale for £45, (I bought mine end of season for £10/15 from maplins a couple of years ago.)

Ended up with a 5 blade oscillating and tilting 3 speed pedestal stand, cost me £63 inc next day del, thought I had spent too much but now that its here I very happy with it, and its remote controlled as well.

What type is this in two parts  ???

Seen it for sale within traveling distance. They are both Bosch brands apparently..

One part is the compressor and radiator, the other part houses the fan and evaporator; theoretically you can then put the hot & noisy part somewhere less obtrusive..

May as well get a proper split system at that point, though, I think..
