Most likely the door locking motor. There are some guides for removal/replacement, and a guide for replacing its internal switch (which is the most common reason for failure)

I did both my front ones, changed the micro switch, RS Components still do the correct switches. Not hard to do but a bit fiddly getting the door lock solenoid's apart as you need to unclip the cover from the body which needs three hands! In the  end I levered the case up and slid some old feeler gauges in the gap to stop it snapping back together. They now work fine and total cost nowt as my mate got the switches through work. The only trouble is that the postage works out more than the cost of the switches. Read the info placed in the forum and it shows all you need to know.

The worst bit i found was the devil of a cover that covers the top of the solenoid inside the door,,apart from that a good job to do and well worth it. :y

What is the part no of the microswitch. Is there only one or two switches to replace.

Its all there, very well written with good images, the part number is also listed there. You only need one switch per door locking motor and that is all I changed. I tested mine and found that whilst it worked one way I did not switch the other. One of the switches on the unit does not have an effect when using the fob. The drivers and passenger side are the same unit and the second switch on the drivers side switches the locking from the key. Apart from getting the door lock motor apart due to the clips the only part I found frustrating was getting the wiring undone from the motor as there is not a lot of room to get your hands inside the door and they were very tight with short wiring. Can be done though!!

Did you unclip the wiring from the bottom of the door this makes things a lot easier
