Dentistry is almost a joke job, kind of perceived as 'not being clever enough to be a Doctor' type of profession. However, they really do have the last laugh, they're on a shedload, for, dare I say it, not
much work. Ok, to put it another way, a Specialist in Heart/Brain Surgery or similar can kill you, they have to be
very competent and know their job, don't let up for a second, or you/they're in deep schtuck.
Worst a dentist can do is do you a bad filling (as I've had) and you're saying 'my mouth hurts' weeks after and you get told 'oh, it'll be fine' etc... friend's ex partner is a Dentist and at the same practice there's another Dentist who consistently botches jobs, and he then ends up sorting them out. But no-one says anything because 'wellll, he's a nice guy, no-one got
really hurt, no
real damage done, eh?' etc..
Chatting to another he was thinking about getting a 911, and most likely the then-previous gen 996. I suggested the then current 997 was a vastly improved motor, so they say. He made a comment roughly meaning 'not much chance I could afford one of them' next time I was in... 'Oh, bought a 997 in the end'

Doesn't one like it when one suddenly realises one's budget for a car is £70k, rather than £30k??
