At £15-£16 a pop I think I'll give the dishwasher tabs a go, lol.

Make sure the last few flushes are plain water followed by a final fill of proper mix coolant; the tabs are corrosive so you don't want any left in there undiluted.

For the final round of flushing I actually left plain water (sshh, I know) in there for a week and ran it to work & back before dropping the lot and filling with coolant.

Thanks for the advice and not a bad idea with the water, ill be flushing the living he'll out of it so hopefully clear the system of all dishwasher liquid/tabs.

Just had a bit of a kick in the teeth, whilst fitting one of the hollow bolts that holds the oil pipe into the top of the oil cooler it decided to brake in half, 30nm just killed it. Just waiting for a second hand bolt to arrive so I can complete the job.
