Hi all,

I finished the work on my Dad's 2.2 Petrol FL Auto, new GM rocker cover gasket all good  :y

I borrowed a code reader and there were 2 codes stored under Pending.

P0560, which I believe is voltage which I can understand as he did charge battery as was low.

The other code is P1781 - not 100% what this is, but intel suggests Torque Signal ?  Is this something to worry about ?, Especially as a few things got unplugged when did his Rocker cover and gave old throttle body.

Thanks again.

Andy.

Memory tells me that often gets thrown up if the Cam sensor is misbehaving on a 2.2.

Any hot starting hessitation at all?

Thanks for the post.  She seems to be running sweet, no hot starting problems.  Starts from cold ok after throttle body and breather clean, but I only did that 12 months ago so was pretty clean.

He did have a battery issue which I think caused limp home mode as Diode pack failed.  Hopefully it's a remnant of that with the other voltage code.

I have reset all codes and will see how it goes.  Had a run in it today with him, so i may plug code reader in again to check for him tomorrow before I go.

If is cam sensor, are they simple to change on the 2.2 ? And I assume GM flavour ones preferable.

Cheers,
Andy.

Easy enough to do, cabletray/coilpack cover/cambelt cover off, then only one bolt holding it in... lift out from top... would have been even easier with cam cover off, as it's just there ::)

And yes, genuine sensor purchased from a genuine Vx dealer that you genuinely had to walk in to ;)

For the P17xx, check TCM and ABS.
