Could that be why I had a problem?

Interestingly Mark - I thought (no idea why) that Bosch made them for GM - and only bought Bosch because it was Sunday, and I needed plugs...  :-[

Thought you had fitted vx plugs James when you got the car home in your new car thread, i would take the buggers back where ever you got them from tbh

I did fit some VX plugs, but I nicked them from another vehicle - so wanted to replace with a new set...

Oddly, I think the plug that disintegrated in my engine was a Bosch one too. Bad batch maybe, or just bad luck?

 Mine was worse than that though, I had to go fishing with a magnet to get the bits out.
