I got a thick lip when I was about 17 or 18.  Turning right out of a T-junction and a microbus approaching from my right was indicating left.  I started to pull out and he carried on across my path so I stopped.  He waved his fist and I, naively, gave a mock grin.  Whereupon he stopped and wacked me through the window.  I didn't have time to argue that he should have cancelled his indicator.

I use the 'don't make eye contact' method these days.  Oh! and the throttle! :D

Yep. Had to use both the other day when some idiot in an Audi elected to give me driving lessons using some form of sign language. Made a conscious effort not to look and... Yep. Predictably, he tries the horn. Time to check if the rev limiter is still working. ::)

so I raced off in front of him then slowed and  gestured come in this car park

You were lucky in one way then weren't you ?.

What if he had followed you into the car park, what if he had been armed ?.  As in this day and age more and more people are arming themselves.

Did it ever occur to you that he could be on the lookout for your car again for round 2 ?.

Do you have a partner who use's your BM, what if the other driver spots your car and has another go, but with your partner, or kids in it (if you have them).

Just be careful, as the worlds gone crazy out there these days, and five minutes of macho in your car, could get you in a bit of a spot chap !!.

I know someone who works in the law, and they said Road Rage is becoming much more too common these days, and their seeing the victims results of it !!.

"Road rage" (which is a wholly innacurate term anyway) is only becoming commonplace because the working man (and woman) is fed up with being f**ked up the arse by the law!

PS
You're right about the rest though, people (just like animals) become very unpredictable once you push them far enough.

I lost it a bit yesterday morning  ;D When a VeccyC driver going around a roundabout was indicating left as I was waiting to enter the roundabout, so I assumed he was gonna exit the roundabout , so I pulled out, but he didnt exit and blew his horn and flashed his lights at me. Next set of lights he was next to me....and had his window down, so I put my window down.....and shouted accross to him "If your indicating left, I assume your rather gonna go left", didnt hear his reply as put my window back up.

Normally I do check to see if drivers are gonna turn even tho they are indicating.....but it was rush hour and i was in a hurry.....and if anyone has driven a veccyC, they will know the indicators on them are a pita.....but if theres one thing i carnt stand....is being in the right and getting horn blown at me  >:(

I seriously NEVER trust indicators.

All they are are flashing lights, there are too many idiots driving about with indicators going when they arent even turning anywhere.........

I would never ever pull out onto a road if the car coming towards me was indicating that he was turning into the road I am exiting, simply not worth the risk.....

Thats why I never use mine  ;D ;D ;D let the buggars guess :P

It's one of those road situations we all experience. He riled you & you took the bait so no point in involving the law...your word...his word etc. I fully understand you wanting to batter him though.

My most hated thing in driving is tailgaters. Nevertheless I always obey urban speed limits and set my mirrors so I can't see the 'gater.

Can't react if I can't see it.
