In these sad situations I would love to know the historical context of it all.
Where was she born, what was her life's achievements, did she marry, have a family, if so where are they now? Why no contact? What happened in the dynamics of the family, her mothers and fathers if no other, for her life to end in this way? Did she have input into specific historical events? Who did she once know? What did she witness in her life of importance to the general community? How did her life effect humankind generally apart from the 'space' she occupied in time?
So many questions with many answers that died with her without expression. Another of time's witnesses now departed and out of reach from all of us who are left. To the young this should mean that you must ensure you obtain the maximum witness accounts from those older around you, as I did as much as possible from my aunt who died at 95 years of age. Unique witnesses of time gone by, with in my aunts case the Victorian and Edwardian era's, the Boer, Great, and Second wars, along with all the others to 1990. Man's first powered flight, to travelling through space and landing on the moon. From horse and cart to motor vehicles. Through Kings and Queens, numerous Presidents of the USA and Prime Ministers of Britain, during a period when the British Empire declined from maximum power, but during a period when the poor enjoyed greater social support away from further Dreadnoughts of military power.
What an age my aunt witnessed, and although this poor lady in question was from more the modern era, she too witnessed history in the making.
What I am saying is this lady, like the rest of us have equal value to all others, but her passing has gone unnoticed due to her becoming invisible to society, the so called caring society. Depending on our achievements and impact on life, and life on us, depends on how we end our days. Reason for much contemplation I believe.
But now she is at peace, and truly equal in the Kingdom of Heaven. RIP.
