Would it be the antivirus software....
« on: 17 August 2009, 17:13:56 »

Stopping my netbook from automatically going into standby and hibernating whilst on mains power?

Its set to standy after 20mins and hibernate after 2hours in control panel/power options but ive left it turned all day today and it hasnt done it  :-/

The only thing it has done is turn the screen off after 20mins.

It did have my sat nav plugged into a usb port and a wireless mouse (transmitter plugged into another usb port)  :-/

Any ideas

power saving does get its knickers in a knot for no apparent reason.

See if it works ok after a reboot  :y

USB devices can stop standby.  Does it standby without them plugged in?
