Just found it, cheers Tunnie.

No problem, i think someone here posted the link to the forum that was first posted on.

Guy initially did not want to take it to the police, but he put it on you tube, Police found it, and contacted him  :o

Kinda feel he may have had his own 'blasts' on there, which is the down side to those systems. You need a kill switch when you wanna have fun!  ;D

RTC :-? - sounds like an RTA to me
Where have you been living recently Martin?

It was decreed years ago that the old bill have to blank the word "accident" from their vocabulary as it is deemed to be "negative"

Well no f**king shit Sherlock, I would never have guessed that being involved in an accident would generate a degree of negativity for those involved  ::)

Being of that age - RTA was the commonly used term and RTC meant the now closed Railway Technical Centre (where the APT was designed)

I was looking for a similar thread I had started, but found this one by James.

There is a bracket on ebay that can be fitted to the headrest uprights and adapts a PVR on to it.

With your trade Josh it would be an ideal tool to just clip into a car, and in this case would have had this guy bang to rights.

Just a thought.  Ideal when out on a test drive.  :y

There is a system available that replaces the interior mirror and is a combined camera and recorder, which records a few minutes at a time and then erases and records over unless an impact is detected or the button pressed to save the last few minutes.

Was speaking to a guy that fits them in the UK a while back, can't remeber company name.

Sounds like it could save a lot of hassle on a claim...

Roadhawk

I have one.

http://www.roadhawk.co.uk

It doesn't "replace" the interior mirror .. it sits "behind" it . :)

:)

We may need a little chat then Nigel... It's something I'm seriously considering ;) ;)

worth conjuring up a few 'witnesses' yourself, as mantahatch mentioned
I hope no-one is suggesting perjury here, as I am sure TUNNIE will not have that.

As wrong as it is, once it has been done to you personally, you tend to get a bit paranoid about these things.
And I woud not have any issues doing it myself now. Sorry but when these people do it, I see the only way to fight back is to join them.

Pity there wasnt a dual input PVR to have front a rear camera's for thos tossers who tailgate, or a system as mentioed with GPS as well.  Technology is advancing all the time,

I know for a fact if they brought out a dual recording version with discreet bumper cams (look like parking/reverse cameras) at the right money I would not hesitate to have some fitted.

Looked at that but they drop from 1 x 4GB to 2 x 2GB SDHC cards.  So no real saving really.

I just dont fancy fitting 2 camera's every time I go out.  :-/
